Note di degustazione
This is only the second vintage of this monopole for Boillot – having acquired the clos (all 17 ouvrées of it) from Henri Darnat ahead of 2019, and making Henri Boillot the only domaine to have two white monopole vineyards to its name. The soils here are extremely similar to those of Bâtard-Montrachet and Le Montrachet and produces a stunning wine that shone in our tasting. On the nose it is mineral, pithy and taut. On the palate it’s vibrant and long with Amalfi lemon and a saline seaspray side. This is sleek and proper before a wave of freshness washes over the mid-palate, driving on to a long, focused finish.

Mid primrose colour, a little bit of bacon indicating ripeness, but nothing too lush. Still has the tingle factor on the palate, and the finish offers several layers of flavour, some fresh herbs, some white fruit, a little touch of toast. Complex and complete at the same time. Excellent mineral thread to balance the weight of fruit.
