Note di degustazione
Full bottle 1,300 g. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. Mid crimson. Nicely mannered with some sagebrush undertones and nothing too obvious. Quite a sophisticated Cabernet with a dry finish. Should not disappoint a European palate but it's still quite youthful. (JR)

85% Cabernet, 15% Merlot. Deep cherry red. This is a roller-coaster tasting, from the funk of Monkey Jacket to the soaring purity of this cassis-intense wine. There's obviously oak sweetness too but the fruit sings. Oak-thickened, polished, deep tannins. On the finish, a fine savoury char to counterbalance the Californian fruit sweetness. Seductive, plush, fresh, very long. (JH)
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ranch is an attractive, mid-weight wine that shows the more gracious, understated side of the year. Floral and spice notes give the 2017 lovely aromatics to play off a core of sweet red berry fruit. This is a very pretty wine.
Silky and polished – not chasing intensity. Tannins a little dusty on the end, but a welcome change from turbo-charged. (JR)
