There's an extraordinarily creamy nuttiness (almonds?) about this rich essence with the most impressive clean acidity. Donnhoff was one of the most successful German producers of 2000 vintage. (JR)

(A.P.#19) Yellow plum, apricot and apricot pit aromas come drizzled with honey and laced with mineral salts in the mouth. Exotic musky, spicy notes add complexity. There is a low-toned richness that's almost of chocolate. It is powerful yet not at all heavy. The finish is indescribably deeply concentrated. 2 stars.
