The 2018 Rausch Kabinett is ripe and floral on the nose, while the palate is lush, moderately sweet and filigreed, revealing a nice, stimulating mineral grip. Tasted in June 2019.

This was the lightest possible Kabinett at 93 Oechsle, according to Hanno Zilliken. Delicate and fragrant – with absolutely unmistakable Saar style. Just the sort of thing to please the old guard – rightly so. Dances along. Gentle balance and massive refreshment value. (JR)
