This comes from a grower that Jadot has worked with for many years on the Puligny side of this prestigious site. Its origins speak clearly – a leaner style that is mineral and precise. Pure and a little shy now, this is seamlessly balanced and will gain weight and further complexity with time.

Moderate wood is present on the even more floral-scented nose of various white fleshed fruit aromas where background touches of citrus, wet stone and green apple add breadth. Like the Clos de la Garenne, there is very good mid-palate density to the larger-bodied and more powerful flavors that exude a bead of minerality on the muscular, youthfully austere and impressively long if slightly tannic finale. This is a big Bâtard that should amply repay extended keeping.
