Note di degustazione
The 2021 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru has a perfumed and quite floral bouquet, with pressed yellow flowers infusing the citrus fruit and mirabelle scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with a keen line of acidity. It is more elegant than the Charmes from Domaine du Pavillon, with touches of French patisserie and almond that furnish the finish. Quite a seductive Meursault that is difficult to resist now. I certainly underrated this from barrel. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru has a light orchard fruit, Granny Smith and slatey nose, though, like the Blagny, it is missing the presence and complexity of other recent vintages. The palate is slightly bitter on the entry, before pulling together with attractive pear and dried peach notes on the pithy finish. Gets better as it goes along, though the 2020 was better.
