Note di degustazione
(from grapes that Lardiere described as "more burned" than those of Rugiens) Superripe fruit aromas complicated by chocolate, coffee and roasted herbs; reminded me of a Bonneau wine. Sweet and rather open, with flavors of chocolate, spice and damp earth. This seems a bit evolved to me, but Lardiere says he needs "to oxidize this a bit more."

Very firm deep crimson. Something distinctly, and distinctively, mossy and vegetal about this nose. Really very majestic and round. Extraordinarily developed but very satisfying. Long and already quite complex. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
