Bachelet's delicious 2015 Bourgogne Pinot Noir offers up an expressive nose of sweet cherries and currants framed by a judicious touch of creamy new oak. On the palate, the wine is supple and succulent, with a juicy core of fruit framed by melting tannins. This should offer unabashed pleasure for the next decade.

Good dark red. Ripe aromas of black cherry and game. Quite powerful, almost syrupy Bourgogne with a saline character and serious tannic structure. This backward Bourgogne really needs at least another year in bottle.
(30% new oak): Healthy dark red. Black cherry, licorice and violet on the nose. Sappy and juicy in the mouth, offering a fine-grained texture and a hint of leathery rusticity. Finishes with a salty nuance. Should make a very good Bourgogne.
Malolactic fermentation ended in August and he racked in September so it had not (at the time of tasting) yet had the four months needed to blossom. Blend of casks from Gevrey. Very expressively floral nose with fine tannins and medium weight underneath. Definitely not Gevrey! Quite a bit of acidity. (JR)
