Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2025-2050, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2021

The 2015 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru is performing brilliantly after several years in the cellar, opening in the glass to reveal a deep bouquet of wild berries, plums and cassis mingled with hints of hoisin, exotic spices, smoked duck and peonies. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's ample and concentrated, with melting tannins, lively acids and a long, rose-inflected finish. If the 2013 and 2014 Latricères mark a step up in quality over their immediate predecessors, the 2015 represents another step still.

(aged in one one-year-old and one two-year-old barrel; from roughly 40-year-old vines located next to Chambertin): Medium red. At once blacker and less wild on the nose than the foregoing samples, offering scents of blackberry, black cherry, licorice and crushed stone. Silky and juicy on entry, then ripe and fresh in the mid-palate without being especially sweet and boasting lovely spicy lift. A refined style with a plush, fine-grained texture and just a touch of leathery complexity. Here the tannins are almost invisible today and the long, subtle finish saturates the entire palate. This should age longer than the Charmes but the Charmes may need a bit more time for its tannins to harmonize.

The 2015 Latricieres Chambertin Grand Cru has a more expressive bouquet compared to the Charmes-Chambertin. Pierre Duroché told me that there was less yield than other grand crus this year and that is affirmed by the fruit concentration. The nose is potent with ample red berry fruit laced with minerals. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity. This is very focused and tensile, complex with a gorgeous saline finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is the best Latricières-Chambertin that Pierre has made—it is as simple as that. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2019-2040

The Latriciere Chambertin 2015 is a delicate and well structured and very harmonious wine. The bouquet is bursting with very airy and delicate fruit interlinked with the refined and filigree earthiness. On the palate rich and effortless – very balanced indeed – with a long intensely refined finish – love the complexity and the delicacy. Dec 2016, www.winehog.org
