1998 Rosemount - Syrah Balmoral

Full ruby-red. Superripe yet lively aromas of roasted berries, violet, smoked meat and nuts. Silky and elegant, with lovely, lush dark berry, plum and smoky oak flavors supported by harmonious acidity. A deep, sweet wine with excellent backbone. Expansive and full but shapely; this really builds and opens out on the back half. Tannins are ripe and fine.
