1960 Warre's Vintage Port

It was a great treat, thanks to a generous bidder for dinner in the Berry Bros boardroom in aid of Room to Read to taste this sumptuous mature wine for what may be the very first time. (I see it was not previously in our tasting notes database.) This wonderfully rich yet still vigorous wine reminded me just how long vintage port can last and why we should be in no hurry to drink them. Look at that suggested drinking window! There was something wild about this wine that reminded me of the Quinta do Noval Nacionals I have been lucky enough to taste recently.
