2001 Schloss Johannisberger - Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Spatlese

Full bottle 1,468 g. Picked on 2 November 2001! Deep golden straw colour. Still really quite honeyed and burnished on the nose with a hint of greenery (not a hint of petrol) but fresh and with just a little bite on the end. This was clearly a very fine vintage and isn't nearly at the end of its life. Long. (JR)
