2012 Michelot Meursault 1er Cru Charmes

Pale bright yellow. Reduced aromas of lemon, nutty oak and musky lees. Broad on entry, then edgy and energetic in the middle palate, showing a tart pomegranate seed quality and a pungent grapefruit note to the lime, lime and smoky oak flavors. Finishes with good energy and length. Oaky but it works.
