Négoce wine. Light cherry red. Pretty light nose. Reasonably charming but not much density and just a medium helping of precision. (JR)
Good deep red. Deep aromas of raspberry, violet and chocolate, plus a whiff of game. Sappy and brisk, with an enticing balance of cut and buffering dark fruit flavor. Finishes with a suggestion of chocolate.
The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin is beautiful, bright and focused. Floral notes add lift to red fruit in this delicate, feminine Gevrey villages. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. These are three attractive wines from Jeremy Seysses’s negociant operation. For general vintage commentary readers may want to refer to the introduction to the Domaine Dujac reviews.
