Pouring a brilliant silver/straw color, the 2021 Chardonnay Clos Du Soleil Vineyard offers a more savory aromatic profile, with nuanced notes of saline, lime zest, green apple skin, chives, and a hint of spice. Medium-bodied, it walks a tightrope of acidity, although it feels a bit more approachable, with a floral and delicate texture and a weightless feel. This highly appealing wine is going to need another year to show its best. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2021 Chardonnay Clos du Soleil Vineyard matured for 15 months in 31% new French oak. It opens with integrated matchstick tones that give way to white peach and quince peel, meringue and citrus blossoms. The palate is vibrant, balancing expansive, creamy flavors with gently tangy acidity, and it has a long, flint-laced finish. It's reminiscent of Chablis and will benefit from 3-5 years in bottle. 333 cases were made.

It's soft-textured and silky in feel with mineral-laced orchard fruits that swirl throughout. The 2021 finishes spicy and long, leaving a lemony concentration and an air of custard that lingers.
