Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2025-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024

The 2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley opens with creamy lemon and seashell aromas complemented by touches of flint, jasmine, lime peel and beeswax. The light-bodied palate balances a satiny texture with mouthwatering acidity. It has layered flavors and a long, perfumed finish. It's a touch reserved and will benefit from a few years in the cellar.

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2024-2029, Eric Guido, Vinous, Jan 2024

The 2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley wafts up with dusty, sweet florals, freshly sliced peach, green melon and hints of white smoke. This is round and deeply textural, with luxuriously ripe orchard fruits offset by touches of lime. It finishes long, staining, and impactful, yet still remarkably fresh with a saline tinge that lingers on and on. What a darling.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2023-2031, Jeb Dunnuck, Sep 2023

Pouring a ripe yellow hue, the 2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley is ripe and floral, with lifted notes of jasmine, honeyed lemon, golden pineapple, and a delicate touch of flinty reduction. Full-bodied without weight, it has a rounded and lightly creamy mid-palate, a ripe, pithy texture, and a long finish. It offers a great match of decadence and freshness that should do well to improve over the next 6-8 years. Michael Etzel founded Beaux Freres in 1991 in Ribbon Ridge alongside his brother-in-law Robert Parker. In 2017, Parker and another investor sold their shares and Michael became partners with the Champagne and Burgundy house of Maison & Domaines Henriot. Today, Michael’s son Mikey has taken over the wine production. Michael purchased an adjacent property, Sequitur, which is a 12-acre vineyard he farms and where he produces wines today. Both Beaux Freres and Sequitur are farmed biodynamically.
