Note di degustazione
From some 66 hectares of vines located between Giscours and Cantemerle, the 2019 Le Haut-Médoc de Giscours offers up aromas of sweet berry fruit, licorice and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate with a velvety attack but a youthfully chewy finish. Forget it for a few years and I suspect it will flesh out.

Medium-bodied, forward, soft and already easy drinking, this dark cherry and savory plum oriented wine will best to enjoy in its first decade of life. 87 Points
The 2019 Haut-Médoc de Giscours comes from 65 hectares between Giscours and Cantemerle on sandier soils, now vinified more reductively, according to winemaker Alexandre van Beek. It has an attractive nose of brambly red currant and cranberry fruit, light, almost flinty aromas emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of sour cherry on the entry, moderate weight, and a light briny influence emerging toward the finish. Fine.
The 2019 Haut-Médoc de Giscours is a very pretty, expressive wine. Plump dark cherry, leather, dried flowers, mint, tobacco, cedar and licorice lend quite a bit of complexity. There's terrific depth here and plenty of character. The Haut-Médoc is made from vineyards between Giscours and Cantemerle just outside the Margaux appellation. This is very nicely done.
