Note di degustazione
The 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes Blanc (Domaine Gagey), from a parcel at the top of the slope just below Faiveley's Clos de l'Écu, is another notable success this year. Mingling aromas of citrus zest and clear honey with hints of hazelnuts and fresh pastry, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, with a chiseled profile and a long, mineral finish.

The 2020 Beaune Bressandes Blanc 1er Cru has a nicely-detailed bouquet, apple blossom intermingling with Clementine and nectarine, an underlying crushed stone element surfacing with time. The palate is well balanced with a succulent entry, quite a "juicy" Bressandes with Clementine and light fig notes towards the finish. Spicy on the aftertaste, this will be just a very enjoyable Beaune Bressandes. Closure: Diam
Cask sample. Open and inviting, with creamy citrus, not obvious oak, just an impression of leesy, mealy richness. Very pure, intense, mouth-watering. Excellent balance between freshness and rounded, creamy texture. Both dry and creamy on the long finish. (JH)
