The 2016 Hartford Zinfandel Hartford Vineyard is medium garnet-purple colored and reveals a beautiful exotic fruit-laced nose of star anise, cassia and cumin seed over a core of Black Forest cake, Christmas pudding and wilted roses. The palate is full-bodied and firmly structured, sporting oodles of freshness framing the flamboyant red and black fruit preserves, finishing long and spicy. 268 cases produced.

The inky colored 2016 Zinfandel Russian River Valley Old Vine is a blend from all five of the vineyards they use for their single vineyard Zinfandels. Blueberries, blood orange, violets, and exotic spice notes, medium body, beautiful mid-palate depth, and sweet tannin all define this juicy, undeniably delicious beauty. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years. Hartford Court opts to bottle their Zinfandel releases under the straight “Hartford” label. Their classic Highwire Vineyard Zinfandel is up there with some of the greatest examples of the variety, from anywhere!
This is very pretty zin with cherry, berry, black-pepper character. Full to medium body, light tannins and a flavorful finish. Lots of stem, moss and bark with wet earth at the end. Beautiful balance compared to the 2015. Drink now.
Boisterous and ample, with tons of varietal character, the 2016 Zinfandel Hartford Vineyard is superb. Explosive aromatics and rich, dense fruit are the signatures in this decidedly exuberant wine. Succulent black cherry, plum, new leather and menthol are some of the many notes that infuse this deep, plush Zinfandel.
