Note di degustazione
The 2015 Chardonnay Edward James Estate delivers powerful scents of honeycomb, butterscotch, marzipan and crème brûlée over a core of spiced apples, poached pears and quince paste. Big, rich and seductive in the mouth, the generous spiced pears and honeyed layers are framed with just enough freshness, and it finishes on a provocative nutty note. 438 cases were made.

The 2015 Chardonnay Edward James Estate shows the same tropical profile it did from barrel, but over the last year the wine either seems to have become more gracious, airy and lifted in style, all of which works beautifully to play off some of the more overt elements, or the final barrel selection was more stringent than originally conceived. Exotic floral notes and white orchard fruit complement some of the richer overtones that are at the heart of the wine's personality.
The 2015 Chardonnay Edward James Estate is a big, powerful wine. Apricot, tropical fruits, orange peel, butter, spice and sweet French oak are some of the notes that give the wine its overt, flamboyant feel. This expressive Chardonnay will appeal most to readers who like big, ample wines.
