Note di degustazione
The 2010 Raymond-Lafon has a light bouquet with dried honey, almond shavings and saffron, but considering the season, I would have liked more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening, more complex than the bottle encountered four years ago, with lots of sucrosity on the finish that maybe just shaves away some of its precision. But certainly, this deserves a more generous score than I gave before.

The 2010 Raymond-Lafon has a very complex bouquet with dried honey, saffron and light waxy aromas, a touch of almond emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with orange zest and honey, missing a little complexity towards the finish that has plenty of sucrosity, though less in the way of terroir expression. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.
Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 Raymond-Lafon comes charging out of the gate with flamboyant floral and spice notes of lime blossoms, jasmine, honeysuckle, allspice and powdered ginger plus wafts of dried mango and pineapple tart with a touch of marzipan. Rich, full-bodied, decadently spicy and fantastically opulent, it has oodles of freshness lifting all the accented fruit to a long and layered finish.
Tasted blind. Almond paste and bitter orange on the nose. Fat and honeyed but flavourful. (JH)
