Note di degustazione
The medium pink-hued NV Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé is a freshly styled rosé that lifts with notes of fresh strawberries, croissant dough, roses, and tangerine. The palate is medium-bodied and highly refreshing, with a spritely mousse and a clean zippy finish that never veers into austerity. It’s a total charmer with lovely energy and a zesty feel to enjoy now or over the next few years. This release is from the 2019 vintage (despite being listed as NV) and is composed of 75% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Noir, raised in stainless steel. These wines really over-deliver for the price. There were 1,000 cases produced.

The NV (2013) Brut Rosé comes across as tightly wound and not fully expressive. Powerful, intense but also a bit compact, the Brut Rosé could use a bit of time to open up. Even so, I imagine it will always be somewhat austere. This is by far the most reticent wine I tasted from Moncuit this year. The Rosé is a blend of 75% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger and 25% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 2015.
Mid strawberry. Focussed, tight, good fresh acidity. Zesty. A good aperitif! Quite long. (JR)
