Bright, light yellow. Ripe lemon drop and a touch of metallic minerality on the nose. Offers decent texture but comes across as rather soft, showing modest depth. Finishes with a slightly herbal burn.

The 2016 Chablis les Domaine Sainte Claire, which comes principally from vines located in Préhy and Courgis, is matured entirely in stainless steel. It has a crisp, straightforward bouquet with light marine scents emerging from the glass. The palate is well balanced with touches of white peach and bitter lemon on the entry. There is modest weight in the mouth and decent focus but it pulls up a little short on the finish. Hopefully it will gain more depth once in bottle.
