Note di degustazione
Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon blend made by Annie Favia and Andy Erickson. Showing some garnet fade at the rim. Complex and savoury, with leather, herbs and spices interlaced with fleshy cherry fruit. Chalky and complex on the palate with vibrant acidity, hedgerow fruits and a light green edge. Mineral and driven on the finish, this is still fairly structured but drinking well now. (TP)

(from the cooler Coombsville area): Full red. Rather oaky aromas of blackberry and licorice are lifted by herbs, pepper and flowers. A rather penetrating style if a bit aggressive, with dark berry flavors energized by Cabernet Franc notes of licorice and flowers. Finishes with serious chewy tannins. A highly aromatic blend but will it blossom further with additional bottle aging?
A little shyer on the nose than the 2003 for the moment. Herbal nose. But very discreet. Pure magic and rich. Lots of tannin. Rich and not that unlike Harlan Estate on the palate. Sweeter and denser than 2003. (JR)
