Bright medium red. Black cherry, brown spices and a medicinal note on the slightly minty nose. Juicy flavors of crushed cranberry and pomegranate show slightly tart-edged acidity.

The 2013 Morey Saint Denis Clos Solon, which was taken from two casks and will include around 20% new oak, has a fragrant, lightly candied bouquet with touches of orange sorbert and strawberry shortcake. The palate is medium-bodied, tightly wound, with a slight reduction toward the finish, a slight powdery texture on the finish. Fine.
In the middle of the clos. Light ruby. Full, broad super-fruity nose. Quite sinewy finish. Chewy end. (JR)

Domaine Fourrier is located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994, and has rapidly become one of the village’s most fashionable names, known for producing pure and transparent Pinot Noir.
