Vivid red. Intensely perfumed raspberry and cherry scents expand with air, picking up exotic spice, sassafras and floral accents and a hint of cola. Smooth and penetrating on the palate, offering sweet red fruit preserve and candied rose flavors and a touch of smokiness. Clings with impressive tenacity on the finish, which is framed by silky, well-judged tannins.

Cork. All close-planted. Very fruity and round. Tight. Just a bit tight and dry on the end. Juicy and concentrated –a bit drier on the end than the Doktor. (JR)
