The 2015 Lune d'Or does not quite deliver the amplitude of the 2014; it is stricter and without quite the same…verve. The palate is well-balanced with good weight, though it does not have the tension or the livewire personality of the previous vintage, slightly waxy towards the finish. Drink this now, before the 2014 or 2013 if you have them all.

The last vintage bottled under natural cork is the 2015 Lune d'Or, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming wine that's giving and seamless, evocative of crisp orchard fruit, confit citrus, iodine and fresh pastry. This is drinking well today.
The 2015 Lune d'Or has lost some of the vibrancy it showed upon release and is now moving into a more sumptuous, textured style in which the Sémillon seems especially prominent. I would prefer to drink the 2015 over the next few years. Lune d'Or is 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc fermented in barrel, with lees stirring, but blocked malolactic fermentation.
The 2015 Lune D'Or, Olivier Bernard's top white from Clos des Lunes, is bright, tightly wound and crystalline, with remarkable purity and precision throughout. Lune d'Or is 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc fermented in barrel, with lees stirring, but blocked malolactic fermentation. Lemon peel, white flowers and mineral notes abound in this deeply expressive, dry white.
