Full deep ruby. Liqueur-like aromas of blackberry, violet and roasted oak; began slightly porty but seemed to grow fresher with aeration. Very rich, lush and deep, with dark berry flavors complicated by mineral, lead pencil and dark chocolate notes. Mouthfilling and complex. Finishes with big, layered tannins and terrific persistence.
