2007 Domaine des Baumard Coteaux du Layon Clos de St. Catherine

Bright yellow. Pungent aromas of pear and peach nectar, tangerine, honey and white flowers, with a suave mineral undertone. Lush and creamy on entry but becomes a bit firmer in the middle palate, with good focus to its sappy pit fruit and honeydew flavors. The mineral quality returns on the finish, adding vibrancy to the exotic fruit and floral qualities. This doesn't want to let up.
