The 2017 Vosne Romanée Les Chalandins is gracious and sensual, not to mention incredibly inviting. Lifted and precise, the Chalandins offers hints of licorice, crushed flowers, rose petal and red berries in an open-knit style that should drink well with minimal cellaring. The 50% whole clusters work well here.

Quite a spicy nose with nice red cherries and hints of caramel and toast. Juicy initial impression, then the medium-bodied palate has some moderately dry tannins that give some structure, but the finish is quite dry because of them. Lacks the silkiness and perfume for which this appellation is famous. Drink on release or hold.
