Note di degustazione
Good deep red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry, roast coffee, cocoa and meat; like the Clos Vougeot this is quite expressive for grand cru. Nicely concentrated dark berry, mineral and smoky oak flavors show more vivacity than the Clos Vougeot. The wine's mineral and spice components give it an impression of spine. I'd wait at least three years on this one.

(picked in three passes) Good deep red. Very ripe aromas of blackberry, blueberry, licorice and violet. Sweet and silky but less obviously thick and liqueur-like than the Clos Vougeot. Ultimately more reserved in the mouth, and fresher thanks to its underlying minerality. Finishes with more breadth and flavor intensity. The crop level here was about 33 hectoliters per hectare, compared to 28 for the Clos Vougeot.
