2016 Dard & Ribo Crozes-Hermitage Les Rouges des Baties

Lurid purple. A highly aromatic bouquet evokes candied black and blue fruits, accompanied by suggestions of smoky minerals, candied flowers, olive and exotic spices. Chewy and focused in the mouth, offering concentrated, spice-laced dark berry liqueur, smoked meat and salty olive flavors complicated by a mineral flourish and a building floral pastille note. Shows excellent clarity and mineral-driven thrust on the persistent finish, which is given shape by youthful, gripping tannins.
