Note di degustazione
Good deep red. Subtly complex nose melds red fruits, rose petal, minerals and musky soil tones. Lush, rich, silky and deep; densely packed and already quite expressive, with strong smoke and earth notes. Really explodes on the back end, finishing with utterly seamless tannins and superb palate-saturating minerality.

Black fruits are interspersed with licorice and earth in the nose of the medium to full-bodied 2002 Chambertin Clos de Beze. This concentrated, deep, noble wine is crammed with perfectly ripe fruit and tannin. Loads of blackberries, licorice, plums, black cherries, stones, and flowers can be discerned in its complex flavor profile. Its finish, described in my notes as “completely unreal,” is exceedingly long, fruit-filled, and suave. If stored in a cold cellar, this wine would be an ideal selection for serving to a 2002 baby on his or her 21st birthday. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2024. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; tel. Red-ruby. Knockout nose melds currant, cherry, rose petal, minerals and smoky soil tones. Silky, intense and highly aromatic on the palate, with subtle suggestions of minerals, flowers and licorice. Finishes extremely long and vibrant, with noble tannins. This should age very slowly and be long-lived.

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
