Lurid ruby. Expressive red/blue fruit aromas are complemented by suggestions of pungent flowers, olive and smoky minerals. Sweet, penetrating and energetic on the palate, offering intense black raspberry, boysenberry and violet pastille flavors that become deeper with air. This is quite lively for the vintage and finishes with outstanding clarity, well-knit tannins and lingering florality.

Deep ruby. Ripe blackberry, cherry liqueur, licorice, woodsmoke and olive on the deeply perfumed nose. Concentrated and powerful but energetic as well, offering expansive black and blue fruit, bitter chocolate and spicecake flavors that are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. The impressively long, sappy finish features supple tannins, a touch of candied flowers and lingering smokiness.
Inky ruby. Mineral-accented black raspberry and violet on the highly perfumed nose. Takes a darker turn on the palate, offering boysenberry and bitter cherry flavors and smoky bacon and cracked pepper nuances. Closes sweet, smoky and very long, showing repeating mineral and spice qualities and gentle tannic grip.
