Note di degustazione
The 2015 Musigny Grand Les Cru has gorgeous red berry fruit on a complex, engaging nose laced with sous-bois /tertiary scents and just a hint of burnt toast or charcoal with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sublime tannic structure, completely harmonious and symmetrical, fanning out almost nonchalantly toward the finish with wondrous red berry fruit and minerals. Stunning. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Tasted blind, the 2015 Musigny Grand Cru bursts from the glass with an extravagantly perfumed bouquet of violets, raspberries, rose petals, candied ginger and spicy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and satiny, with an exquisitely elegant, seductive and layered profile, underpinned by succulent acids and concluding with a long and fragrant finish. Vougeraie's style was immediately apparent, but it finds its perfect foil in Musginy.
(in fûts ; one of the three barrels was new): Bright, full red. Wonderfully complex, subtle aromas of dark raspberry, licorice, wild herbs and chocolate. Sappy, silky, lightly saline wine with a suggestion of chocolatey ripeness. Still quite closed today but already delivers an exceptional combination of sweetness and mineral-driven salinity. Most impressive right now on the slowly mounting, classically dry finish. A wonderfully consistent wine from start to firmly tannic finish.
