Locked and loaded, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Saunders Vineyard is a behemoth that offers loads of blackcurrants, chocolate, spice box, graphite, and leafy her- like aromas and flavors. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, great tannins, and no hard edges, it has serious amounts of tannin and needs 2-4 years of bottle age.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Saunders Vineyard is one of the most distinctive wines in the range. Silky, polished and nuanced, the 2017 balances the richness of the year with the minerality that comes through so naturally in this rugged, rocky Oakville site. Powerful yet finessed, with tremendous aromatic nuance, the 2017 is a gorgeous wine. Lavender, rose petal and exotic spice accents round things out in style. (AG)
A barrel sample to be bottled in January 2019, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Saunders Vineyard is very deep purple-black in color with a nose of black raspberries, currants, cherries and dried herbs with touches of tobacco and tea. The palate is medium-bodied, juicy, refreshing and lively, with a long finish.
