The 2018 Mercurey 1er Cru Pièce 13 concludes this extensive vertical in style, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis, wild berries, smoked duck, dark chocolate and spices. Full-bodied, muscular and immensely concentrated, it's rich and layered, with velvety tannins and a long, resonant finish. Today, it's immensely impressive, but it will richly reward bottle age.
