The 2011 Meursault Clos des Ambres hails from one of my favorite vintages chez Ente, and it continues to show as well as ever, offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil, fresh bread, sesame and dried white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy and incisive, it's nicely balanced, with bright acids and a nicely defined finish.

Pale straw-yellow. Much less expressive on the nose than the basic village wine, hinting at hazelnut and lees. Then fat and rich in the mouth, offering very good floral lift to the flavors of tangerine and spices. Perhaps a bit youthfully aggressive in the mid-palate today, but the finish is suave and long, with nicely delineated lemon and pineapple flavors.
This is a selection from En l'Ormeau. Richness desperately trying to escape its corset. Very tense. Racy and very refined. So taut! (JR)
(12.2% alcohol): Bright yellow. Lively, pure aromas of lemon peel, lime and white flowers accented by a note of white pepper. Densely packed but a bit tart-edged, with a peppery quality to the primary lemony flavor. Fairly supple in the middle but classically dry on the finish, offering very good energy and length.
