The 2012 Lirac La Dame Rousse is a blend of mostly Grenache (with some Syrah) that was brought up all in stainless steel. It offers fabulous black cherry, licorice, wet gravel and ample crushed rock like minerality. Medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, elegant and polished, it opens up nicely in the glass and should drink nicely for 4-5 years.

40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, 10% Carignan, 5% Counoise. Mid crimson. Complex cocktail on the nose. Very rich and lively. No one could object to this. Really vibrant. (JR)
