Note di degustazione
The 2016 Art Series Chardonnay is persistent and long, quite subdued at this stage in its evolution. I recall this wine being more rambunctious than it is showing today. Explosive power of acidity and phenolic presence through the finish remain its calling card, and the trail of fruit in its wake is enduringly impressive. If anything, the oak is showing more today than I recall, evident in the open-weave texture that feathers the finish. Sealed under screw cap.

Pale yellow-gold. Mineral-accented white peach, orange, pear, saffron and white flowers on the intensely perfumed nose. Fleshy and dry on the palate, offering concentrated orchard and pit fruit, chamomile and buttered toast flavors complemented by suggestions of tarragon and candied lemon peel. Shows excellent depth and precision, finishing minerally and impressively long, with lingering citrus and pit fruit notes.
Love the aromas of coconut and pralines with cooked apple, lemon and pecan-pie undertones. Medium-to full-bodied, layered and complete with a juicy and savory aftertaste. Delicious all round. Drink now. Screw cap.
