Very clean and pure, with a little more density than some. Grapefruit flavours, with a hint of the juice in a can of grapefruit. Fresh and zesty, with quite a structure. (JR)

I first tasted the 2021 Chardonnay B.A. Thieriot Vineyard in early 2023, and it's offering just as much energy and tension today. From vines planted in 1996, it has bright aromas of yellow apples, crème fraîche, almonds, honey and toast with undertones of chalk and oyster shell. The light-bodied palate is silky and ethereal with a weightless feel despite its concentrated, mineral-driven flavors. It has a spine of tangy acidity and a long, detailed finish. 398 cases were made.
The 2021 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard is everything a wine from this site should be. Slate, crushed rocks, chalk, white pepper, mint, dried herbs and hints of reduction are some of the many notes that build in the glass. The 2021 is crystalline, pure and exceptionally beautiful. It's classic Thieriot all the way.
Pale lemon in colour. A cool mintiness alongside green apple, lime blossom and cream. Chalky. Precise. Incredible palate structure, with a linear acid line that runs all around the edge of the tongue and with a light edge of reduction. Gorgeous. (SCJ)
