2010 Giuseppe Quintarelli Primofiore

Sweet tobacco, dried cherries, plums, savory herbs and menthol are all laced together in the 2010 Primofiore. This a distinctly savory Primofiore, with pretty floral and herbal notes that dominate over the fruit. Still, there is a lot to like in the 2010, most notable the purity and delineation of the flavors. A kick of acidity adds brightness on the finish. The Primofiore is a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with the Cabernets seeing a slight amount of drying.
