Blackish ruby. Lots of development on the nose. Round and charming and soft. Easy fruit juice. No rough edges but perhaps not the most appetising. (JR)

Made from a tiny crop of very small grapes (millerandé) this is ripe and powerful. Funky, ripe nose with earthy, vegetal notes. Pure and well-defined cherry and raspberry fruit that comes through on the palate with remarkable alacrity. Dry tannins, needs some time to develop. (RH)
Sweet and lightly sweaty on the nose. Very juicy fruit. Lots of acidity and not much charm. Very youthful – one of the most youthful wines of the Côte de Beaunes tasted so far... (JR)
Good deep red. Subtly complex aromas of dark fruits, spices, licorice, leather, mint and bitter chocolate. Altogether sweeter and lusher than the Clos du Roi, conveying an impression of cleaner fruit and greater flavor intensity. Spreads out nicely on the back end, finishing with riper tannins, more length and lingering notes of licorice and mint.
