Note di degustazione
Medium red. Complex, terroir-driven aromas and flavors of redcurrant, coffee, spices and iron; conveys an impression of red soil. Dense, sweet and utterly seamless if in a reserved, rather cool style. Very precise and light on its feet, with perfectly integrated acidity. Finishes fresh, dry and classic, with suave tannins and steadily building flavor. A great vintage for this cooler, later-ripening site.

(12.4% potential alcohol, chaptalized to 12.7%): Bright, dark red. Reduced nose hints at red licorice. Pure and precise but inexpressive, with elevated acidity giving a tart quality to the cranberry fruit. This is evolving very slowly. In a distinctly cool, linear style, and not yet showing much pliancy. This will require following, but today I prefer the 2009 version.
