1999 Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune

The 1999 Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune has another fabulous bouquet with intense red fruit, incense, Provençal herbs, blackcurrant and violets, all delivered with outstanding precision. The palate has a sweet entry, mainly black fruit infused with camphor, quite linear like the 1995 and very focused on the finish, lingering long in the mouth. It is over a quarter-century old, but it has years and years ahead of it. Sublime.
