Very pure and zen. Such definition and fine, pure and refined. Tingling balance. Topnotch sherbet? (JR)

Mushrooms and honey on the nose. LIght and very delicate with marked acidity. Quite paiful for the moment. Cooking-apple juice the overriding impression. (JR)
Finally the influence of spontaneous fermentation is curtailed to a mere supporting role. The delightful fragrance of citrus fruit aromas is allowed to unfold and supported in perfect measure by intriguing smoky and flinty aromas. The whole gamut of citrus fruit flavours from grapefruit to orange brings a wonderful freshness to the taste buds without any excesses in terms of tropical taste. The combination of minerally elements, gently bitter peel notes and luscious fruit demonstrates a potential of complexity that many Auslese rivals will struggle to match. It doesn’t take a genius to realise that Fritz Haag wines need to be given time to show their true mettle, but patience will be more than amply rewarded. (MS)
