Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2025-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Mar 2024

The 2021 Pinot Noir One Acre has opened since I tasted it in early 2023, and it offers heightened detail and nuance at this stage. Dried cranberries are accented by notes of wild fennel, mixed tea leaves, tree bark, licorice and orange peel. The medium-bodied palate features complex layers of red fruit, earth and spice. It has a velvety frame of tannins, a firm spine of acidity and a very long finish. 414 cases were made.

The 2021 Pinot Noir One Acre opens with game, incense, tobacco and dried herbs. It offers good depth, but the style remains quite savory and earthy. The One Acre is not especially immediate; rather it is a Pinot that demands attention from the taster.

Pale ruby in colour. Light raspberry and pomegranate – red-fruited. Lightweight, sandy tannin. High, fresh acidity and a very long finish. Red-cherry fruit and fresh orange oil. (SCJ)

Punteggio 93-95/100 · Da bere 2025-2036, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2023

The 2021 Pinot Noir One Acre is dense and powerful in the glass. Wild cherry, dried flowers, tobacco and herbs open first. The combination of 2021 vintage fruit density and the gamy, feral qualities that are signatures of this site make for a compelling Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. The One Acre is perhaps a bit more power than finesse. It certainly has plenty to offer.
