Note di degustazione
Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Pinot Noir Sweetwater Vineyard has delicate scents of potpourri, forest floor, meaty hints and red and blue berry fruits with spicy touches. The palate is light to medium-bodied with crunchy fruits and lots of inherent spiciness, finely grained and finishing long.

Looking at the two single vineyard releases, the 2018 Pinot Noir Sweetwater comes from the Russian River and was 10% destemmed. Brought up in French oak and unfiltered, it has an incredible bouquet of black raspberries, spring flowers, violets, and just a touch of pine and forest floor. With incredible purity of fruit, no hard edges, building tannins, and a great finish, it ranks with the finest wines in this great vintage!
Rochioli's 2018 Pinot Noir Sweetwater deftly marries power and energy. Sweet red cherry, spice, mint and blood orange all flesh out in a creamy, ample Pinot loaded with class. On the palate, the 2018 is super persistent and wonderfully complex. Like the Sweetwater Chardonnay, the Pinot is sourced from the steepest parcels on the property, where the slope reaches 40%. Clonal material here is mixed, but there is a good deal of 777.
