The 2018 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee Vineyard has slowly opening scents of blackberries with notes of violet, licorice and turned earth. The medium to full-bodied palate offers spicy black fruits in a grainy, fresh frame, and it finishes long on a floral note.

The 2018 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee is powerful, dense and savory. Beams of supporting tannin give the wine its distinctive textural feel. A wine of energy and real drive, the 2018 is likely to need a bit of bottle age, as it is very much reticent today. Even so, it is gorgeous and compelling, just in need of time.
