The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon A. Price Vineyard is a clear step up over the The Monarch (which is no slouch) and has a gorgeously polished, elegant profile carrying pure cassis, black cherries, graphite, loamy earth, and baking spice-like aromas and flavors. Lush, medium to full-bodied, seamless, and layered, it's a totally charming, layered, balanced wine that's already hard to resist. It's going to evolve for 15+ years.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Allen Price Vineyard is a super-classic St. Helena wine. Sweet floral and spice notes meld into a core of vibrant red-toned fruit. This mid-weight Cabernet possesses gorgeous inner perfume and fabulous balance. The 2021 is shaping up to be a jewel. I loved it.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Allen Price Vineyard is a wonderfully sensual, open-knit wine that marries the raciness of this St. Helena site with the more restrained side of the year. Ripe red cherry, lavender, spice, mocha and a kiss of French oak all take shape in the glass. Head-trained Cabernet Sauvignon on St. George rootstock is so distinctive. This is the archetype of St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon. Sadly, production is just 100 cases.
